The season is upon us and the FIRST thing anyone wants is a SCHEDULE.  I have the link right here:

Mardi Gras Schedule

Then the next question is, 'what else is going on?' This link will help you:

The MobileMask Magazine

When I moved to Alabama I didn't even know what FAT Tuesday was or that Banks closed and other businesses as well.   Fat Tuesday is February 17th this year and as with each year, marks the end of the Mardi Gras Season. BUT, the Sunday before that, is JOE Cain Day. I can't talk about Mardi Gras without mentioning Joe Cain.  And you might say ,'who is that?'  He got the Mardi Gras ball rolling in 1866.   There's a Wednesday Learning Lunch planned on January 14th, at the History of Museum of Mobile with Mr. Mobile Mask himself, that can answer all your questions.  In the meantime,  check out Sally Pearsall Ericson's article in Al.com for more details.

EVERY SINGLE town on both sides of Mobile Bay, from Mobile to Orange Beach, will have parades from January 17th through February 17th.  Come on down and join us.  Catch a few moon pies and beads while you're here.  I've been told our Mardi Gras Parades are very family friendly.  I hope you think so too.

Beads & Moon Pies

I hope you make it down sometime during  the Mardi Gras Season in Lower Alabama and while you're here give me a call.  Let's find the right home for you. Maybe just a getaway for the summer season or a full fledge move.  We can find the right one for YOU.  Meanwhile, take a peak at jerrie.gulfwinds.com

Till next time!
